About us
MyPhoto is a photo memory company built on core values that drive every decision we make. We’ve got passion, purpose and principles.
We founded MyPhoto with a single mission: To create the easiest and fastest way possible to allow anyone to get photos off their phone and into their home.
There's magic in your phone. It's in the photo of your baby's laugh, or the photo you took while on a family vacation, or of your grandchild's first step, or your son's smile when he sat in his first car. It's even in the selfie you and your best friend just took!

The Challenge
MyPhoto, a Florida-based start-up specializing in transforming digital photos into personalized gifts and high-quality decorations, faced significant operational challenges. The company struggled with high production costs and difficulties integrating their outdated ERP system with their eCommerce and manufacturing platforms. These issues hindered efficient order tracking and cost management, limiting their ability to scale and maintain centralized control over operations.
The company struggled with:
- High production costs due to inefficient workflows.
- Outdated ERP system that lacked integration with eCommerce and manufacturing platforms.
- Limited order tracking and cost visibility, making it difficult to scale operations.
- Fragmented business applications, requiring multiple disconnected tools for different functions.
- These issues created bottlenecks, especially during peak seasons, and restricted MyPhoto’s ability to manage its growing business efficiently.
The Solution
To address these challenges, MyPhoto partnered with Binhex Cloud to implement a comprehensive suite of Odoo applications. The initial phase included the deployment of Sales, Inventory, and Accounting modules, integrated remotely with support for the local team. A pivotal aspect of the project was the seamless integration of their eCommerce and manufacturing systems, facilitating improved order status tracking and precise cost monitoring throughout the production process.
The adoption of the CRM module further optimized customer relationship management, integrating B2B sales and affiliate programs into a unified ERP system. Additionally, the Projects module was implemented to organize internal tasks efficiently, and the Contacts module enhanced the storage and accessibility of customer information.
The transformation included:
- Deploying Sales, Inventory, Accounting, CRM, Projects, and Contacts modules to centralize operations.
- Seamlessly integrating eCommerce and manufacturing systems to improve order tracking and cost monitoring.
- Replacing fragmented software with 35 OCA (Odoo Community Association) modules, enhancing functionality with open-source extensions.
- Automating financial processes, including bank reconciliation, to reduce manual workloads.
- Implementing a multi-company model, enabling the strategic acquisition of Blue Ocean Press and future scalability.
The solution was deployed remotely, with a focus on minimizing disruption to daily operations while ensuring a smooth transition.

The Impact
The implementation of Odoo's open-source platform led to immediate and substantial improvements for MyPhoto. The company achieved a significant reduction in production costs and enhanced operational efficiency. Centralized management of resources and streamlined workflows enabled better order tracking and customer service, particularly during peak seasons.
The automation of banking reconciliation processes allowed staff to focus on analytical tasks, resulting in more comprehensive financial reports and informed decision-making. This technological transformation also facilitated MyPhoto's strategic acquisition of Blue Ocean Press, expanding their product line and demonstrating the platform's scalability.
The adoption of Odoo and 35 OCA modules led to significant improvements:
- Reduced costs: More efficient workflows lowered production expenses.
- Improved order tracking: Real-time visibility across eCommerce and manufacturing boosted operational efficiency.
- Centralized business management: MyPhoto replaced multiple software tools, consolidating operations under Odoo. This eliminated the need for:
- QuickBooks → Replaced with Odoo Accounting
- Shopify’s backend for order processing → Replaced with Odoo eCommerce & Inventory
- Zoho CRM → Replaced with Odoo CRM
- Standalone project management tools → Replaced with Odoo Projects
- Scalability: The Odoo ecosystem facilitated MyPhoto’s acquisition of Blue Ocean Press, enabling seamless integration of new business units.
- Enhanced financial reporting: Automated processes allowed staff to focus on analysis, improving strategic decision-making.
By leveraging Odoo’s open-source platform and OCA modules, MyPhoto successfully streamlined its operations, reduced costs, and positioned itself for sustained growth.
The multi-company model of Binhex Cloud ensured a smooth integration, supporting MyPhoto's growth without technological constraints.
